Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines.
All meals, foods and beverages are prepared and served by qualified child nutrition professionals.
We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.
Our menus offer several choices of foods at breakfast and lunch. Students do not have to take all items offered, however they must select a minimum number of food items to make a complete meal (also known as a reimbursable meal). Students must select a (1/2 cup) fruit at breakfast and a (1/2 cup) fruit or vegetable at lunch for the meal to be considered reimbursable. Any student who does not select a (1/2 cup) fruit or vegetable and the minimum number of items required for a reimbursable meal will be charged a la carte prices for each item and/or component selected. For more detailed information regarding the meal reimbursement requirements for Offer versus Serve Breakfast and Lunch meals please refer to the following state of Georgia documents: Breakfast Meal Pattern Signage & Lunch Meal Pattern Signage.
| All schools are participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for school year 2025-2026, and students have access to meals at no charge. |

All School Levels Outstanding Student Meal Balances:
Though our school district has elected CEP districtwide for the upcoming school year 2025-2026, some families still have outstanding student meal balances from previous school years. Please contact your local School Nutrition Manager regarding your outstanding balance and a plan for repayment.
Remaining Funds
It is the responsibility of a student(s) parent/guardian to claim any remaining funds (positive balances) on their student(s)/child(ren)'s account at the end of the school year. If you wish to transfer the balance to a sibling or to donate the funds to the NCSS School Nutrition Program, you must provide the request in writing to the School Nutrition Manager at your child(ren)'s school. Any unclaimed funds will be remitted to the Georgia Department of Revenue, Unclaimed Property Program.
